A significant aspect of social media marketing is maintaining an active presence. Consistency is key. But don't fall into the trap of posting just for the sake of it—especially if you're scrambling to put something up while lying in bed at night.

Be intentional with your activity.

If you have a valuable message or want to share high-quality content, go ahead and post. But if you're out of ideas, it's better to wait.

Avoid posting just to meet a quota.

Every post should fall under one—or both—of these categories: Education and Entertainment.
If your content doesn't fit into either category, reconsider and go back to the drawing board.

We've all seen brands that flood their social media with content, thinking quantity is what matters. "We need to post 4 times a day, even if it's redundant or low-quality content!"
How do you feel about those brands? They often come across as annoying or insecure.

Create a plan, stick to it, and if a post doesn't feel right, skip it.

But don't make skipping a habit—you still need to be active, just mindfully.

What's the sweet spot?

4-5 posts a week should suffice. If your business isn't busy on weekends, skip them. If you're more active from Thursday to Sunday, focus your posts then. You know your business and audience best, so post accordingly!
