Google adds Transparency Center to ad platform

Google announced they have rolled out an interesting new feature within Google Ads, which will give the consumer more info about exactly what they are seeing, and who it is behind the ad.
The Transparency Center is a searchable hub that allows users to see all ads ran on Google and  supporting sites.

You will be able to see -
  • The ads an advertiser has run
  • Which ads were shown in a certain region
  • The last date an ad ran, and the format of the ad.

A great example from the release - 

For example, imagine you’re seeing an ad for a skincare product you’re interested in, but you don’t recognize the brand, or you're curious to understand if you recognize other ads from this brand. With the Ads Transparency Center, you can look up the advertiser and learn more about them before purchasing or visiting their site.

You can access this by visit the My Ad Center on Google.


I find this to be encouraging for those that use Google ads.  This is a great chance to not only show off your brand through strategic ads, but also allows consumers a chance to learn more about your business.  If your website, social and entire digital marketing avenues are all done properly, it should be a very positive experience for visitors.
