Google Ads just updated their best practices, and today, we will dig into each practice and touch on how you can improve your Google Ads.
Check out the full release from Google, where they share 3 practices you should be aware of.
1 - Enhance your product feed to help your shopping ads stand out. This is a pretty standard one that some people either forget, or don't take the time to remember. Make sure your images are clear, easy to see (and load), and this might sound dumb but - make sure they actually show off your product. Look at the background, focus on what you are trying to sell. Spend a few more minutes on the image and you will see a better feed. 2 - Show your ads to more shoppers as they browse more channels When you set up your ad, you can select Performance Max. This allows you to be on all of Google's platforms - including YouTube, Display, Search, Discover, Gmail, and Maps. Why wouldn't you want your product in front of everyone on all outlets? Another option is the Customer Match selection. This allows Google to match your products with people that are browsing similar items. Again, a no-brainer. 3 - Optimize your campaign to drive more performance. Monitor your campaigns to ensure you are seeing results. Dig into the insights page. Review and examine all your results and analytics. If not daily, this should be done every few days. These best practices may seem simple to some, but if you are just starting out in Google Ads, they can be very beneficial. The fact that you can be on all of the Google platforms is a huge selling point to most businesses. Google Ads can be confusing and frustrating when setting up for the first time, but these practices are a good start!
