The rain can be soothing, relaxing and peaceful...but it can also be depressing, make you tired and stump your creative thinking. Don't get stressed thinking about what to post the next time you have a rainy day outside. Check out these 5 post ideas that are easy, simple and can create good interactions with your followers! 1) Positivity Quotes A nice and easy post on a dreary day is one that might be the perfect pick-me-up for one of your followers. A positive quote is simple to do, can be posted on all channels and is a nice addition to your gallery of work project after work project. 2) Slo-mo action shots Get outside and take advantage of the cool pictures and video you can create of the rain - falling, gathering in a puddle or just turning everything into a wet playground. Use your camera on your phone, or whatever you have, and share some creativity. Again, this is easy, adds a bit of uniqueness to your timeline and should be fun to create. A clever caption? Well there are plenty about rain, but maybe - "Only a select few are able to see the true beauty that lies behind what just might seem like a rainy day or a grey sky." - Jessica M. Laar 3) Feature local inside activities I preach share, share, and share some more when it comes to your social channels. Not only is important to tell your story, but be part of your community and those that are around you. Here is a great opportunity to do just that. Share some local museums, activities, events - anything inside that seems of interest to you or your family. You can share from their social channels, from their website, or even share pictures of your last visit. This is giving your audience some good, quality ideas on what to do and stay out of the rain. You see these posts all day when the weather isn't great, might as well share your opinion on the matter as well! 4) Culinary delights This one might not be up everyones ally, but it might be something new for your business. Share what you all are cooking. Share the best recipe from the office, what someone is planning to make this weekend or even remind people who won the chili cook-off last summer. Food and cooking has a huge interest in social media and you can be part of it without changing your plan or schedule. It will be a nice addition and offer some fun and perhaps, something that your audience has never seen or made themselves. Share a simple picture of what you are cooking, your favorite comfort food recipe or even a link to where you are picking up dinner tonight. 5) Show off a new project Maybe your business is rolling out a new product or service, or adjusting what you do....maybe you have been planning a spectacular release, or just had a product launch. A rainy day where everyone is inside, checking social media 300 times might be a good idea to push that out to the public. I am not recommending changing your grand plan or your release schedule. But, if you have been holding some info or services back, not really putting those out in the public, waiting for the perfect time - this could be it! No new product or service? That is ok. Show off one of your services that might not get the most publicity, maybe one you are trying to build up. Create a nice graphic, put a few lines together about what you offer and why it adds value to your followers and see what happens. This might be the perfect day to get those services off the ground. Those are just a few easy post ideas that are different, take you away from the stress of trying to think of the perfect post and give you a quick option to get some content out to your followers that align with what is going on TODAY!
